Concerts

Aberystwyth Chamber Orchestra

Dear All, 'Just thought I'd tell you all about a couple of concerts coming up in Ceredigion, Wales. At both concerts my latest orchestral piece is going to be played - this is called "Dance Rumbaba". Other works will include Hungarian Dances by Brahms, Welsh Suite by Hollyoak, some Vaughan Williams, and a Haydn Symphony. At Lampeter there will also be the Aeron String Quartet playing a work by the late Arthur Wynn Jones.

Sunday 26th September: Llanrhystud Church, 5pm Please park in the field by the Black Lion Pub. Tickets: £3 (children - £1) on the door or from me.

Sunday 3rd October: Old Hall, University, Lampeter, 5pm Parking: on campus. The Old Hall is opposite the College Chapel. Tickets: none, but donations to Amnesty International welcome.

'Hope to see you soon. Best wishes, Pam.

Llanrhystud Local History Group

A calendar of events are planned which I hope will be both interesting and entertaining but also assist us in building up a historical picture of the local area.
It is important that all the future events are well supported in order to continue with the program.

Llanrhystud Heritage Trail Guide now available!!!

Welcome to Llanrhystud a village with a very intresting history.
The walk for the most part will be along the village roads which are currently in use so where there is no pavement please be aware of approaching traffic. The track to the Lime Kilns will be along a stretch of the coastal path which is eroded causing walkers to walk along the shingle beach for a short distance. There will be two stiles to cross. The trail is about two miles and should take around one and a half to two hours to complete.
